2007 Football Season May Go Down in Super Bowl History

super bowl history

This year may go down in Super Bowl history, not for any upsets, but because of the seeming inevitability of a victory by the seemingly unbeatable Boston Patriots. Are super bowl commercials worth it?

For the 2007 super bowl, advertisers paid around $2.6 million for a 30 second slot. Many bloggers felt the commercials were hardly worth the time; much less, around $85,000.00 a second. According to the bloggers, many of the super bowl commercials missed the mark. The comments ranged from snoozy, to homophobic; one reason Snickers pulled their ad.
