Ah yes, the Super Bowl winners, the NY Giants, and their amazing attempt and construction of the most classic Super Bowl comeback in a long time against a team that as certainly better than them and had already beat them in game 16 of the regular season. But they still went on to become Super Bowl winners against the Pats and for many good reasons. Super Bowl history was made because the Giants toppled the first perfect dynasty to emerge since the 72’ Dolphins. Trashing the Pats perfect seasons and walking away as Super Bowl winners. The biggest mistakes made by the Pats were a pick by Brady and of course the horrible calling of going for it on 4th and 13 when they were already tied. But the Patriots learned a very valuable lesson that day—that lesson being—on any given Sunday the opposing team can get the better of you and take it all from you; always keep your wits sharp. Perhaps this is why we all love football so much. Nothing is set in stone in the end. It’s anybody’s ball game.
