Super Bowl XLV is 2.5 years away, but the first North Texas Super Bowl has already set a record. President of Super Bowl XLV Host Committee, Bill Lively was told by NFL officials that his group's 4 $1 million sponsors are more than any other previous host committee. Lively said, "That's encouraging because we're just getting started."

Lively said that the fund raising push will really get moving in the next few weeks.  Super Bowl XLV will take place at the Cowboy's new stadium in Arlington.

His goal is to find 1 more founding sponsors willing to make 7 figure donations. The initial founding sponsors, announced in May are: the Dallas Convention & Visitors Bureau, Staubach Co., Hillwood Development Corp., and Ted and Shannon Stokes.Lining up more corporate donors and individual big spenders is expected to begin next month with the focus on Fort Worth, then Arlington and Dallas. Also targeted will be other major Texas cities outside of the area.

2 founding sponsor teams will be fielded by the committee. One will be a corporate CEO action team headed by Ross Perot Jr. and a Dallas Cowboys legends action team led by Troy Aikman, Hall of Fame quarterback.
