Surprise, Arizona is expecting on February 2  past and present NFL stars and other celebrities will take part in the Celebrity Flag Football Challenge as part of the festivities leading up to Super Bowl XLII in Glendale the next day. Surprise, Arizona is expecting as many as 20,000 people to attend the 11am football game at Surprise Recreation Campus, which will also be televised by FSN and will receive national recognition for the city. The Flutie Brothers Band, with former NFL quarterback Doug Flutie on drums, will perform at halftime. Also planned are a 3K run, autograph signing and amateur sports tournaments for flag football, basketball, tennis and baseball.

The details of the daylong festival are being finalized. Tickets for the festival will be $10 in advance and $15 on the day of the celebration.  They will be available at Circle K stores around Arizona and at the Surprise Community and Recreation Office located at 15960 N.
